Dennis James Fleming
Dennis James Fleming, father to Shannon Fleming (Chris Dawson) and Kayleigh Ferder (Paul) passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully Monday morning. Dennis was 58 years old and spent his working career as a very talented landscape designer. He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Fleming and mother, Dorothy Gitto and his brother-in-law, Stephen Hardesty.
Dennis will be greatly missed by his sisters, Sandra Wolfe, Pat Hardesty, both of whom he lived with the last years of his life, and his sister, Maria Gitto (who resides in California). Dennis was an extremely compassionate father and brother with a kind and loving heart. His love of plants was quite evident to many, as he knew all of the Latin and origin names.
He leaves behind his stepmother, Gayle Fleming, stepfather, Nat Gitto, nieces, Sandra Wilson (Jeff), Jean Hardesty (aka Bean) and Claire Tazudeen (Dr. Wahid of Chicago) and former wife, Lori Black (Bruce). He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will hold a graveside service at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls at noon on Saturday, June 23. In lieu of flowers or donations, just keep Dennis’ memory in your heart.
