Richard Davis Bean, "Dick", age 93 of Canal Fulton, Ohio, died on August 9, 2022.

He was born on January 30, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Davis Richard and Gladys (nee Anderson) Bean.

Dick was an honorably discharged US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Dick was a retired supervisor with the United States Postal Service, he supervised at both the Akron and Canton Stations. He enjoyed bowling and shooting pool.

Survivors include his children, David Bean, Susan (Dean) Philips and Bonnie Kuralt; his grandchildren, Jodie (Dennis) Sheppard and Joseph Kuralt; his great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kole and Korbin Shepler and Josie Kuralt.

Other than his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marilyn Ruth Bunn, on December 15, 2015, they were united in marriage on April 15, 1960; and one sister, Mildred Menke.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, from 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM, August 30, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio. Following visitation there will be a procession to the cemetery for a 1:45 PM military service.

Richard will be laid to rest with his wife at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
