Douglas Jerome Sain, age 58 of Mogadore passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022. He was born in Akron on December 15, 1963 to the late Raymond and Marilyn {Huggans} Sain.

In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by his brother David Sain.

Doug's memory will always be cherished by his wife of 22 years, Kimberly; children Zachary and Tyler Sain; siblings Lisa (Robert) Shoman, Gregory Sain, Julie (Butch) Stout and Jeffrey (Maria) Sain; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Douglas graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School in 1982, and from the University of Akron with a degree in Communication in 1987. He worked as an Auto Estimator for State Farm Insurance.

Douglas was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, and of the Knights of Columbus. He greatly enjoyed watching his sons play sports, cruising in his red 1966 Mustang, family trips to the beach, and was an avid dog lover. Douglas was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Douglas' family would like to extend their gratitude to the ICU staff at Summa Health Systems in Akron for their wonderful care.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, May 2 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. A procession beginning at the funeral home will take place on Tuesday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m. Please arrive no later than 10:15 a.m. The procession will lead to a graveside committal service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E Waterloo Rd.
