Marilyn L. DeGraw, 65, of Akron, passed away January 9, 2022 with her husband by her side. A lifelong Akron resident, she was born to Gerald and Joanne Epling on October 31, 1956. Marilyn graduated from Ellet High School in 1975 eventually working as a letter carrier for the USPS. A self-described hippie, she loved concerts, traveling, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with her family.

She married Dave DeGraw in the summer of 1975 and they lived together in Akron. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dave, and their three children: Holly (Mikey), David (Heather) and Amber (Jesse); grandchildren, Hailey, Cain, Jacoby, Buster and Carl; sisters, Cindy (Shelby/Doak), Pam (David/Scott), Mimi (Kevin/Andy) and Shirley (Breianna); sisters-in-law Leah and Rachel (Scott); Brothers-in-law Doug (Marge) and Emory (Sue), in addition to many more friends & family.

She is preceded in death by her amazing parents Joanne & Gerald.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The memorial service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
