Brian Mitchell Hice, age 80 of Akron, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on September 19, 2021.

Brian was born on July 26, 1941 in Cumberland, Maryland to Charles and Edna (Uhl) Hice. He graduated from Mt. Savage High School. Brian served in the US Navy. He lived in Akron, Ohio for 56 years and met the love of his life, Beverly and married in 1966. Brian never met a stranger. He loved his family.

He enjoyed playing golf and volunteered at Edwin Shaw Challenge Golf for many years. Brian was a member and Deacon at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church in Akron. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, and going for evening walks to catch up with friends and family on the phone. He was a self-less and compassionate man, with a servants heart. He will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Beverly, children, Lloyd (Pam) McVey, Deborah Cernava, Denise (David) Batten, Darlene (James) Siebert, and Darnelle (Joe) Colant, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, siblings, Larry (Marge) Fuller, Bobby Cassidy, and Patty Cassidy.

A private inurnment will be held by the family at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church or Edwin Shaw Challenge Golf.
