Carole Sharon Ruggles Phillips, 77, of Rootstown, passed away suddenly on September 21, 2019. A longtime resident of Ohio, she was born in Beckley, WV. Carole enjoyed crafting so much that she owned her own craft shop in Rootstown for a short time. She was a social media butterfly and enjoyed reconnecting with family and friends through playing Yahtzee, Words, and all the online games. Carole was an avid reader and attended church when she could. She had a soft spot for cats, having many of her own over the years. Her family and friends were always an important part of her life and she will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Carole retired from GE in Ravenna after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul L. and Areta E. Wright; sister, Linda Bryan; and husbands, Robert C. Ruggles and James C. Phillips. Carole is survived by her children, Robert P. (Rita) Ruggles, Ronald C. (Evelyn) Ruggles, Debbie Boles, Lisa Long, Tracy (Jerry) Welch, Kelly Olszak; grandchildren, Roxanne, Tiffany, Cody (Samantha), Tyler, Jimmy (Angela), Jodi (Bryan), Amy, Ryan, Rachel, Morgan, Katie, Austin; great-grandchildren, Blake, Aubree, Lacey, Rex, Maria, Avery; great-great-granddaughter, Haley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Please join the family in celebrating Carole's life from 3:00-7:00pm on Friday, October 25, 2019 at The Corral, 6689 St. Rt. 43, Kent, OH 44240. An additional service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Sugar Creek Church, Shockey Rd., Belington, WV 26250.
