1930 - 2019

Kenneth F. Savage, 89, passed away May 12, 2019 at Bath Manor. He was born May 10, 1930 in Sturgis, MI. His family moved to Barberton, OH in August of 1945 and Ken graduated from high school in June of 1950. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force in September of 1950 and completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in TX. Ken's next assignment was at Langley Air Force Base in VA, followed by service in Okinawa, Japan in 1951. He was honorably discharged in November of 1953. He then had various jobs and also served in the Army National Guard. Ken is a life member of VFW Post #3383, American Legion Post #209, Voiture 468 of the 40et8 and the Holy Name Society of Visitation of Mary (Annunciation) Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by parents, Clair W., Sr., and Laura C. (Chase) Savage; brother, Clair W., Jr., he will be sadly missed by friends and fellow veterans.

Friends are invited to visit Tuesday, May 21st from 12 to 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH.
