Vivian Virginia (Ketterman) Polanski, 88, of Uniontown, went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born February 24, 1931, a member of the Apostolic Church of Barberton. She worked for Matthews Nursing Agency for many years, and as a private duty certified nurses assistant. She is survived by 3 children: son Nick Polanski and wife Maureen of Akron, son Paul Polanski and wife Cheri of Salem, Illinois, daughter Paula Carter of Uniontown; 5 grandchildren: Nickie Polanski and wife Stephanie, Nicole Becher and husband Keith, Jeremy Polanski and wife Jolie, Devin Polanski and wife Christina, and Cymber Miller and husband Cody; 11 great-grandchildren: Taylor Custer, Logan Custer, Hunter Custer, Sophia Polanski, Isabella Polanski, Vivian Polanski, Joshua Polanski, Noah Polanski, Chloe Polanski, Elijah Polanski, and Benjamin Miller; one sister-in-law, Kathy Ketterman of Canal Fulton; one brother-in-law, Joey Polanski and wife Carol of Mesa, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Gertrude Ketterman; her loving husband Nick; baby girl Polanski; and 7 brothers and 5 sisters. A celebration of life will be held at the Apostolic Church of Barberton, 1717 Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Barberton, Ohio 44203 on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 12:00 noon with visitation from 10:00-12:00, with Rev. Paul Pamer officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd., Akron. Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Church of Barberton.
