Dennis was born in Akron, Ohio on January 10, 1950, and was a 1968 graduate of Waterloo High School. He served in the U.S Coast Guard from 1968 to 1974 as a Radioman 1st Class, and later attended Kent State University. Dennis served as a firefighter for the Kent Fire Department, and ran a business in the Akron community until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and was a talented musician.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father and mother, Warren and Doris Berry. He is survived by wife, Tracie Berry; son, Warren Berry; step-daughter, Ashlee Nienhius of Toledo; brother, Richard (Linda) Berry of Pickerington; sister, Susan White of Richmond, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
