In Memory Of
Robert E. Hill III
1985 - 2017

Robert E. Hill III, 31, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2017. He was born in Akron on March 23, 1985 to Robert E. Hill Jr. and Lenora Carnes.
Robert was a free spirit with a smile that brightened up any room. In his youth, he was a child model, loved art, nature, and sports.
Robert graduated from Tallmadge High School. He was a gifted artist and as a Tallmadge Middle School student, he was chosen to draw the first portrait of a police dog for the Tallmadge Police Department. As a teenager, Robert worked as a lifeguard at the YMCA in Cuyahoga Falls and even volunteered his time teaching younger children how to swim. After high school, he attended Stark Tech, Tampa University, and Akron University. He was passionate about his work at Ann's Pastries and Delivery Service in Wadsworth.
To know Robert was to love him. No matter the situation, Robert always wore his bright and contagious smile. Robert touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen Hill and Robert E. Hill Sr.; great-grandparents, Gladys Carnes, Elbert Carnes, and Margrie Dye; and aunt, Delores Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Lenora Carnes; father, Robert E. Hill Jr. (Roslyn Jones); siblings, Elizabeth Hill, Tavia Hunter, Rachel Smith, and Joshua A. Mack; grandparents, Mary Ann Carnes and Norman Carnes; best friend, soul mate and partner, David Peters; special cousins, Alexandria and Claudia; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He also leaves his beloved dog, Roxy.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Akron Art Museum.
