Ronald L. Peake, 61, of Akron, passed away March 29, 2015 after a short illness. Ronald was born in Bluefield , West Virginia on February 27, 1954. Ronald was employed with CSX Railroad for 39 years. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing and quilt designing. Ronald is survived by parents, Sonny and Betty Peake; sisters, Jenny (Bill) Henninger and Donna (Don) Smith; nephews, Nicholas Smith, Brandon (Misty) Smith; great nephew, Jaxon Smith; niece, Madisyn Fisher; niece Heidi Henninger; nephew, Bill (Tara) Henninger; great nephew, JR Henninger; great niece, Taylor Henninger; cousin and best friend, Tom Grubb; close friends, Patty Cross, Tim and Mim Cherrie. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of his friends that came to visit while Ron was in the hospital and the entire staff at Akron City Hospital Palliative Care Unit and Hospice team. Family and friends may call on, Monday, April 6, 2015 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm.
