He was born on December 28, 1947 in Dayton, the son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Glump) Likovetz.
Tom was an honorably discharged US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Tom enjoyed yard work and home improvement projects. Tom played the electric bass guitar for the church worship band of the FallsCreek Community Church. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his fiance, Kathy Beeler; his four children, Michael (Sarah) Likovetz, Gregory (Tammy) Likovetz, Steven (Tina) Likovetz, and Sharon (Aaron) Barnhart; 8 grandchildren, Mitchell, Hannah, Cole, Nathan, Drew, Mason, Ethan, and Megan; one sister also survives, Jenny Bramlage.
Other than his parents and siblings, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, the former Betty Hancock, on April 29, 2016, they were united in marriage on January 11, 1969.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at FallsCreek Community Church, 149 Northmoreland Avenue, Munroe Falls, Ohio 44262 at 11:00 AM, where Pastor Michael Thomas will celebrate Tom's life.
Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.
