Eugene D. "Sam" Kenaley
1927 - 2017

Eugene "Sam" D. Kenaley, 90, of Akron, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on November 10, 2017. Sam was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 5, 1927, but as a very young child moved to Marlboro, OH. He worked at Goodyear, building Navy airships and later worked in various machine shops as a machine assemblist.

It was in Akron that he met his wife of 63 years, Sylvia. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Sam will be deeply missed by his wife, Sylvia; his daughter, Christine (David) Talbott; his sons, Doug (Karen) Kenaley, and Dennis Kenaley; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His homemade inventions, such as go-karts, mini-bikes, and tractors were enjoyed by all.

Sam was preceded in death by his three sisters, Belo, Evelyn, and Vivian.

Services will be private. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
