Patsy Louise Janes, 82, of Tallmadge, passed away with her family by her side on September 5, 2017. Pat was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Samuel and Maymie Kelley on April 10, 1935.
She worked for the Akron Public School Board for over 30 years. Pat took comfort in her deep faith in Christ during her final days. She will always be remembered as an independent, hard working woman. She was thoughtful and loving and devoted to her family and friends. She had a terrific sense of humor and an avid interest in reading and politics.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Scholl and brother, Dick Kelley. She will be deeply missed by her children, Rick (Liz) Janes, Linda Janes (Kelly Linstedt), and Mike (Carrie) Janes; grandchildren, Rachael (Mike) Schweyer, Jackson Bradfield Janes, Nicolas Bradfield Janes, Morgan Janes, Quinn Janes, and Nathan Janes; great-grandchildren, Kayla Janes-Schweyer and Gavin Schweyer; special nephew John (Joanne) Scholl and their daughter, Bailey; many other relatives and friends.
Per Pat's wishes, private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, Ohio 44333.
