Edwin Steininger, "Johnny", passed away on May 28, 2016 in Massillon, Ohio. Johnny was born on March 23, 1923 in Middleburg, PA. One of three children of the late Joseph and Margaret Steffan Steininger. On November 16, 1944 he married Fay Herman, they were married 70 years at her passing on January 10, 2015. Other than his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brother, Warren "Bud" Steininger, and his sister, Mae Milstead. Johnny is survived by his daughter, Joyce (Dale) Hardman; his grandchildren, Brant (Lisa) Hardman and Christine (Steve) Chappe; six great-grandchildren, Nathan and Daniel Sullivan, Taylor and Ryan Chappe, and Reese and Riley Hardman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Valor Home, 1121 Exeter Road, Akron, Ohio 44306. To leave a message for the family, visit www.NewcomerAkron.com.
