Daniel "Dan" Brandt, 51, of Akron, passed away on May 21, 2016. He was born in Akron on July 7, 1964. Dan was a resident of Mogadore for many years. A truck driver by occupation, his interests included boxing, training, writing and performing music, and a deep love of animals. Dan was a very generous and giving soul to anyone in need, loved his family and adored his nieces and nephews, and was most of all a loving and supportive son and brother.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Glenn "Tony" Brandt. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Brandt; sisters, Cynthia (Ron) Muhlbach, Paulette (Russ) Goodman, Michelle (Mark) Messner; nieces, Rachel, Megan, Brianna; nephews, Devin, Brandon, Justin, Dylan; grand-niece, Aleyna; and furry children, Shilo, Mya, and Ginger.
At the request of the family, a private visitation will take place on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Kennel Club, 8051 Arco Corporate Dr., Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27617 or St. Jude's, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
