Wilma B. Goodwin
Wilma B. Goodwin, 84, went to be with her Lord on December 15, 2014. She was born in Elgin, Texas on September 14, 1930 to the late Ed and Florence Gunn.
Wilma was a devoted Christian and active in her church throughout her life. Most recently, she attended Maranatha Bible Church. Wilma's encouragement was instrumental in the spiritual growth of many family and friends. She had many struggles in life, but always remained faithful, kind, and able to see the good in others. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; and siblings, Elizabeth, George, Leon, Dub, and Carl. She is survived by her loving children, Paula (Wayne) Krause, Debbie (Victor) Singleton, and Chuck (Sandra) Kelly; sisters, Bertha (Bill) Garfield and Gladys Cook; grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Singleton, Nicholas (Mariel) Singleton, Melissa Kelly, and Amanda (Bryan) Mouton; great-grandchildren, Emma and Max Singleton.
Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2014 from 4-5 followed by a 5:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Don Rohrbacher officiating at Maranatha Bible Church, 1424 Killian Rd., Akron. Wilma will be laid to rest at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Maranatha Bible Church.
