William A. Winkler

William A. Winkler "Bill", age 78, of Akron, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

He was born on November 23, 1947 to the late William L. and Maude E. Winkler (Fresh) in Akron, Ohio.

Bill was a foreman, engineer, and general laborer for most of his life working for many different businesses, he also volunteered at Red Cross as a driver when he had free time. He enjoyed coaching his kid's ball teams, bowling, golf, and watching the Cleveland Guardians baseball games.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Linda of 57 years, daughters, Amanda Varney, and Madison Winkler, sons, Curtis Winkler, Timothy (Amy) Winkler, daughter-in-law, Lisa Winkler, many grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Walter Winkler, daughter-in-law, Crystal Winkler.

No services are scheduled at this time, there will be a private family gathering at the convenience of the family.
