William Ray Burch "Rabbit"
William Ray Burch "Rabbit", 80, of Akron, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 14, 2014. He was born October 24, 1933 in Akron. Rabbit served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from McClean Trucking. Rabbit was an avid biker and belonged to several motorcycle clubs. He was also a former stock car racer. Rabbit belonged to Local 24 and the American Legion. He lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Rabbit was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; father, William G. Burch; and five siblings. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Raff; brother, Bennie Burch; children, Nicki (Tony) Molea, Bill Burch, Debra (Arthur) Kight, Kathi (Michael) Gray, and Traci (Greg) Gorby; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves longtime special friends, Ginger and Marshall.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
