William J. "Rocky" Rachten, 88, of Norton, passed away September 12, 2014. He was born in Belmont County, Ohio on January 15, 1926 to the late Louis and Josephine Rachten. Rocky proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He previously worked for Seiberling Tire and Norton City Schools but his labor of love was training his horses and racing at Northfield Park. Rocky has always shown an intense passion for animals and was known for the superb care he provided them.
In addition to his parents, Rocky was preceded in death by his Daughter, Lana, former Wife, Patricia and Sister, Louise. He will be dearly missed by his Daughter, Dana Rachten, Grandchildren; Jackie Kubilus and Christopher (Michelle) Goforth, several Nieces and Nephews, Special Friends; Roger, Jack, Rochelle and many more along with his 3 horses and dog, Mikey.
