William R. German
William R. German, 85, of Akron, passed away July 24, 2014. William was born in Akron, Ohio on August 14, 1928 to the late Raymond and Bessie German. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1946. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during WWII and Korea. Bill retired from Goodyear and Lockheed Martin with 38 years of service and after retirement he was employed with Sam's Club for 11 years. Bill was a member of Wayfarer Lodge #789 F&AM and past Monarch of Yusef Khan Grotto. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Grace (Jay). Bill is survived by Son, Bill German; daughter, Wanda Harvey of North Carolina; grandchildren, Courtney (Bob) Genovese, Greg (Marissa) German, Adam Green, Kylee (Rob) Ford, Travis Green; great grandchildren, Koda, Hayden, Bryce, Hudson. The last 13 yeas he has lived with the most wonderful Significant other in the world Faye Fisher. Family and friends may call on Monday, July 28, 2014 , from 5 to7pm - at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, a Masonic service will be held at 7pm by Wayfare Lodge #789.
