William Arthur Allen, known to his loved ones as "Bill", 77, of Cuyahoga Falls, went to be with Jesus on March 31, 2026 with his family by his side.
Bill was born in South Fork, Pennsylvania on May 3, 1948 to the late William and Vivian Allen.
If you knew Bill, you knew the Lord was number one in his life, closely followed by his family. At a church college class, Bill met the love of his life, Linda Heil. They married on June 5, 1976 and were eventually blessed with three children they never thought they could have. He and Linda felt even more blessed when their family grew to include a precious daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
Bill loved the outdoors and was able to turn that passion into a lawncare business, William A. Allen Company. He enjoyed yardwork, gardening, and all types of flowers. He retired in 2019 and was proud to leave his business and legacy in the hands of his son.
In his free time, Bill loved exercising, model trains, and bringing the fun and laughter to any family gathering. He was known for challenging himself with push-ups and was proud to have met his personal goal of one hundred consecutive push-ups at the age of 76. He was thwarted from meeting this goal years earlier when his toddler son jumped on his back at the tail end.
Bill was known as a hard worker with a deep sense of integrity. He was always true to his word. Bill had a strong faith and trusted the Lord would always provide.
Bill lived with Parkinson's Disease for twenty years and faced each challenge with grace and determination. He never complained and he never gave up. His example on how to live life fully will never be forgotten by his family.
Bill was unable to move for the last 24 hours of his life. Yet in his final moments, he was granted the strength to reach up and cradle his wife Linda in his arm. This was a beautiful last act of love from Bill.
Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Linda Allen; beloved son, Joshua (Jennifer) Allen and beloved identical twin daughters, Jessica Allen and Christine Allen; grandchildren, Sophie Allen and Wyatt Allen; sisters, Donna (Ron) Hutchinson and Fran Clausen; and many special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, immediately followed by a 3:00 pm funeral service with Pastor Josh Allen officiating at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burning River Vineyard Church burningriverchurch.com
