Willard Charles Tomer Jr.

Willard Charles Tomer Jr., 87, of Akron, passed away on July 21, 2026. He was born on June 7, 1939 to the late Willard Sr. and Helen {Ritchie} Tomer.

In addition to his parents, Willard was preceded in death by his beloved wife Joyce Tomer and their sons Doug, Bobby and Eugene.

Willard is survived by his loving children, Kathy Rutter and Willard III "Charlie"; grandchildren Kendal, Audrey, Charlie and Quinn; great-grandson Braxton.

Per Willard's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private celebration will be held for his family. Well-deserved military honors will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date, when Willard and Joyce will be laid to rest together.
