Wayne W. Bloom, 93, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at his home in Akron, Ohio. He was born March 13, 1920 in Akron, Ohio. Wayne worked for 35 years at Vaughn Machinery in Cuyahoga Falls as a machinist and retired from General Motors. He loved sports of all kinds and watching the Cleveland teams.
Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years Doris, mother Bertha Songer, son Terry, and six brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughter Barbara (Charles) Demchock of Uniontown, 8 grandchildren; Chuck (Colleen) Demchock, Michelle (Mark) McKee, Roger Demchock, Carol Dadisman, Terry Bloom, Rebecca (Dave) Morrison, Lucas Bloom and Isaiah Bloom, 10 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Wayne loved animals of all kinds and favored his dogs, Sweetie and Babe.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Humane Society of donor's choice.
