Warren E. Atha

Warren E. Atha, 94, of, Brimfield passed away January 14, 2015. Warren was born in, Bridgeport WV. on October 30, 1920 to the late Homer and Julia Atha. In his younger years he worked as a welder at Norfolk, Virginia Ship yards during the war and to this day his welds are still visible on the USS Alabama. Warren founded Brimfield Sheet Metal and was a 70 year member of Sheet Metal Local 33. He enjoyed being active around the house and working in his garden. In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by son, Richard and 10 sibling; . He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Andrea; son, Jim (Mary); daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Rexrode; son, Bob; daughter, Helen and son, Terry (Karen); host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Family and friends may call on, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment at Restland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Salvation Army or Akron Children Hospital.
