Wanda E. Lawson
Wanda E. Lawson, 71, joined her husband, Leroy; daughters, Nancy and Kathy; parents, James & Hazel (Ancell) Whaley in Paradise on June 28, 2005. Wanda was a member of Eastern Road Church of God where she was active in the Care Ministry. She is the beloved mother of Sylvia ( Chuck ) Steurer, Karen (Ed) Rosser, Rebecca (Art ) Ropos, Deborah ( William ) Wilson, Lisa Lawson (Jerry), Brenda ( Erik ) Lawson and Leroy Lawson, Jr. all of Akron. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sharon (Wayne) Harris of Spelter, WV and Twila (Red) Smith of Sutton WV. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Faron Cole officiating.
