Walter Ray Morgan

Walter Ray Morgan, "Ray", age 94 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on June 13, 2018 at Hospice Care Center in Copley.
He was born on November 25, 1923 in Butler, TN, the son of the late Edgar and Grace (nee Banner) Morgan.
Mr. Morgan was a highly decorated and honorably discharged US Army veteran of WWII.
Ray was a graduate of East High School and was a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his three children, Karen Morgan of Tampa, FL, Alan (Katherine) Morgan of Kent, Ohio, and Edward Morgan of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. His sister also survives, Mae (Joseph) Polefrone formerly of Goodyear Hgts., Ohio.
Other than his parents, Ray was preceded in death by wife, the former, Eleanor Masters, whom he married in 1946, she passed away in 2006; his sister, Molly McFarland, and his brother, James Morgan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where family and friends may visit from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
Ray will be laid to rest next to his wife, Eleanor, in Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
