Walter C. Hamrick
Walter C. Hamrick, 62, passed away at the Cleveland Clinic following a short illness. Born in Akron, Ohio to his parents the late Condra and Cora Hamrick. He was loved by all that knew him. Walter had taught auto mechanics to many high school students and adults for the Akron City School Systems for over 25 years, and had previously worked for Mohawk Rubber and Elseg Automotive. Member of Eagles 555 and KSU-IOTA Lambda Sigma –Delta Chapter. Devoted to his family, he leaves behind his wife of 20 years Bonnie Hamrick; daughter Sheri ( Erik) Lewis; son David Stanley; grandchildren; Cole, Brooke, and Morgan Lewis; step grandchildren ; Kaela and Christy Bates; Special mother-in-law Laura Yuhas; sisters-in-law Sheri (Bob) Bost ; Connie (John) Cope ; brothers-in-law Danny Bertram; Jerry (Paula) Pulscamp ; sister Vivian Oeffner ; brothers Roy Lee Hamrick ; Raymond Queen; Richard (Verg) Queen ;Roy Queen Jr.; Robert (Rosemary) Queen ; many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends may call from 5-7, Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Robert Patterson officiating.
