Walter Wayne Ellis

Walter Wayne Ellis, age 82, of Ravenna, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Elizabeth Ellis, and his brother, Carl Edwin Ellis.

He is survived by his fiancee, Dixie Williams; son, Wayne Edwin Ellis; daughter, Kimberly Maczko; grandchildren, Sean Maczko, Nicholas Ellis, and Victoria Ellis Breden; great-grandchildren, Kadance Ellis and Oliver Ellis; and many cousins.

Walt served as a U.S. Air Force mechanic and was a passionate race car driver- a fan favorite at Cloverleaf Speedway. He worked at General Tire and Duff Truck Line before opening Classic Hobbies in Springfield Township, bringing the joy of R/C car racing to peaople of all ages. He also loved building and working on his show cars.
