Virginia C. Miller-Torrence, "Jenny", age 53 of Akron, Ohio, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Akron City Hospital due to complications of a massive stroke.
She was born on February 14, 1964 in Akron, the daughter of the late Clifford Ray and Imogene Hosaflock Miller.
Jenny liked decorating, gardening, music, and she was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She loved being a wife to Ray.
Survivors include her husband, Ray D. Torrence, Sr., whom she married on November 14, 2015; her children, Tiffany Dusenberry, Kattie Dusenberry, and Vincent Dusenberry, Jr.; her step-sons, Ray and Roy Torrence; her step-daughters, Takenya, Lindsey, Taleia; her special step-daughter, Tamiah Torrence; and many grandchildren; her mother-n-law, Barbara Marsh Torrence.
Also surviving are her siblings, Ronald (Wendy) Miller, Donald (Cathy) Miller, Kevin (Lynn) Johnson-Miller, Joyce Miller, and Sheila Holcomb.
Other than her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Miller; her sister, Carol Jean Miller; her brother-in-law, Gary Holcomb; her father-in-law, Raymond Torrence.
Funeral services will take place at 3:00 PM, Monday, May 8, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Mary J. Brown will celebrate Virginia's life. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
