Vicki Lynn Kalapodis, 56, of Akron, went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2012. She was born in Akron on September 1, 1956.
Vicki was employed at Weaver Industries for 30 years, and later worked for Potomac, Summit Racing, and Ellet Center. She was a member of The Chapel and BLAST. She loved going out to eat, dancing, singing, and bowling. She was an avid fan of all Cleveland sports teams, particularly the Indians. She also loved Elvis Presley and The Gaithers.
Vicki was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Kalapodis. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Maxine Kalapodis; siblings, William Kalapodis, Thalia (Daniel) Wisard, Jim (Vesna) Kalapodis, and Chris Kalapodis; and ten nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday November 23 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service at The Chapel Memorial Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Summa or the Alzheimer's Association.
