Vickey J. Woodard

Vickey J. Woodard 69, of Akron, Ohio passed away June 9th 2026 peacefully at home with family by her side.

Born November 2nd, 1956 in Akron Ohio to James R. Stump and Anna Jean Stump.

Vickey attended Ellet High School and was a graduate of The National Institute of Technology. She spent her career working in the technology field.

Vickey was happiest with her family. She was proudest to be a Mom, Grandma, and Gi Gi. She was an avid genealogist and spent most of her free time researching her family trees and connecting with family all over the country.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jim Stump and Jean Stump, her husband of 52 years Stanley (Dale) Woodard, brother Jimmy Stump and granddaughter Elizabeth Damron.

Vickey is survived by her sister Kathy Stump of Akron, sister Shari (Steve) Jones of Cuyahoga Falls, daughter Collene (Derek) Keirns of Akron, son James “Bubba” (Michelle) Woodard of Cuyahoga Falls, and daughter Janean (Jake Arconti) Woodard of Cuyahoga Falls. Her grandchildren Ashley (Ryan) Keppler, Megan James, Logan James, Jacob Arconti, Brayden Arconti and great grandsons Bryson and Crue. Also many friends, family, nieces and nephews that she cared deeply for.

Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Wednesday, June 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Donations can be made to the American Liver Foundation in Vickey’s honor.
