Valerie A. (Tholt) Young Donahue

Valerie A. Donahue, 77, of Uniontown, passed away October 15, 2016. Valerie was born in Barberton, Ohio on September 2, 1939 to the late Walter and Julia Tholt. She lived the early part of her life in Barberton, graduating from Barberton High School in 1957, and later resided in Uniontown. Val worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Barberton School System for more than 25 years. She enjoyed camping and boating at Lake Erie, taking annual trips to Myrtle Beach, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Val was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles P. Donahue, and daughter, Laurie Trusky.

Val will be dearly missed by her children, Jerry (Sue) Young, Linda (Gary) Kellar, and Julie (Terry) Kuhn; son-in-law, Ron Trusky; grandchildren, Nicole Bennett, Dusty (Aaron) Price, Laura (Dave) Benedict, Andy Young, Katy Kellar, Angela Kuhn, and Evan Kuhn; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2952 Edison St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685. Inurnment will immediately follow at 1:15 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
