V. Diane Morrison (Fassnacht)
V. Diane Morrison (Fassnacht), 69, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 after a long illness. She was born in Akron to Robert and Edith Fassnacht.
Diane loved to spend time with friends and family and listen to music. Her favorites were Barry White and Motown. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her husband of 33 1/2 years, Ed was the love of her life. They only knew each other 2 weeks and were married.
She is survived by her husband, Ed; her children, Bob (Sue) Schneider; daughter, Rene (Keith) O'Brien; son, Bill (Michelle) Morrison; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three extremely special nieces, Pam Davis, Charlene Penn, and Aren Morical.
The family would like to thank Heather Knoll Nursing Home, The Visiting Nurse Hospice Center, and the Steffel family for their kindness.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with visitation for one hour prior. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Akron General Visiting Nurse Hospice Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
