Timothy L. Troglen, born on January 12, 1963 gained his heavenly crown on February 12, 2026. Tim was a proud veteran of the USMC. His career of service continued with the Summit County Sheriff’s Department, followed by a distinguished tenure as a talented writer for various newspapers. Tim was also a dedicated parking lot attendant for Grace Cathedral for 53 years and head of the parking lot for 35 years.
Known for his infectious smile, loving heart, sharp wit, and his status as a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan Tim’s laughter, smile and love will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, William Arthur Troglen; grandparents, Clarence and Ona Belle Taylor; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tim leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Betty Troglen; sister, Belinda (Lataris) Toney brother, David (Patricia) Troglen; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, followed by a 12:30 pm funeral service with Rev. Christopher Machamer officiating at Grace Cathedral, 1055 Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Cathedral for the purchase of Bibles.
