Thomas Werner

Thomas C Werner Sr., 80, of Akron, passed away peacefully at Akron City Hospital on August 7, 2014. Thomas was born in Akron, Ohio , on December 22, 1933 and was a life long resident. Thomas retired from Goodyear Areospace after 32 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He loved bowling, traveling and camping with his family. He spent his childhood summers in New Baltimore, PA. Dad had many hobbies and was a member of numerous clubs. Tom is preceded in death by his son, Mark and grandson, Chad. He is survived by his brother, Bob; sons, Tom Jr., Tim (Kelly), Terrance and Michael Shawn (Pam); five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on, Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 1 to 4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, with funeral services to follow at 4pm. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date
