Thomas E. “Tom” Leach, beloved husband, cherished brother, and devoted uncle, passed away peacefully at home on July 14, 2026. He was 75 years old.
Tom was born on September 16, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Cyril and Mary Leach. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother Jack Leach, brother-in-law Bill Arnold, nephew Mike Hardy and niece Paula Sekula.
Throughout his life, Tom embodied warmth, resilience, and a steadfast spirit. He shared a devoted partnership with his wife, Victoria {Motyka} Leach, who survives him. Together, they built a lifetime of memories and offered one another unwavering support through all of life’s chapters.
Also left to cherish Tom's memory are his sisters, Linda Arnold, Cathi (Kurt) Sassmannshausen and Cheryl (Mike) Williams; sister-in-law Marie (Randy) Dockery; nieces and nephews Matt, Pam, Pat, Rick, Jenny, Lisa, Jessica and Kayla and their families; many dear friends, including Carol and Dennis MacFarland.
Tom’s journey was marked by a deep respect for his roots and a quiet generosity that touched those around him. Family, friends, and all who crossed his path remember his gentle heart and reliable presence.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday, July 25th from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., when the funeral service will begin. A procession will follow to Holy Cross Cemetery, where well-deserved military honors and a graveside service will take place, and Tom will be laid to rest.
Thomas E. “Tom” Leach will be remembered for his unwavering love, dignity, and kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of goodness that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
