Thoburn C. Leasure
Thoburn C. Leasure, 87, of Akron, went home to be with Jesus on January 5, 2006. He was very active in his retirement and he loved and helped many people. Toby served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and was a longtime member of the Akron Baptist Temple. He also belonged to the Lake Gun Club. Toby was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Amy Leasure; brothers, Everett, Arthur, and Cleon Leasure; and sister, Margaret Van Fossen. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 63 years, Mildred; daughter, Patricia (Jerry) Daffron; son, Dana (Alice) Leasure; sister, Betty Davis; grandchildren, Keith (Jani), Kraig, and Kindra Daffron, and Tracie, Dustan (Jill), and Toby (Anna) Leasure; and five great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Akron Baptist Temple. Online condolences may be sent to www.newcomerfamily.com.
