Thelma I. Hershey, 89, of Akron, passed away on May 2, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 14, 1927 in Philippi, WV to the late Arley and Violet Lantz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Hershey; daughter, Diana L. Hershey; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Thelma is survived by children, Maxine E. Hershey, R. DeWayne (Terry) Hershey, and Carolyn A. Hershey; grandchildren, Joshua W., Kyle J., and Sarah M. Hershey; 2 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Sunday May 7, 2017 from 1-2pm with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305.
