Terry Fryberger

Terry Fryberger, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on August 29, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1947, in Akron, and lived in the area most of his life.

Terry was a jack of all trades who took on many kinds of work throughout his life. He retired as a Network Engineer for Chrysler after 19 years of dedicated service, Terry was in the business of Network Engineering for a total of 30 years. He was someone who liked to keep his hands and mind active, and that spirit carried into the things he enjoyed most.

He found happiness in hunting, riding his Harley, building guns, fixing computers, and always staying busy.  He was also a dedicated member of the Louisville Sportsman's Club, reflecting his enjoyment of the outdoors and the fellowship that came with it. Those who knew Terry will remember a man of skill, independence, and energy, someone who took pride in what he did and in the life he built.

Above all, Terry was a family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Katherine Fryberger. He also leaves behind his children, Kami Root, Lori Lyons and her husband Jack, and Jamie Fryberger and his wife Patricia. His family circle also includes 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and fur babies, Bear and Blaze. He is also survived by his sister, Christine Tapp and her husband Tom, his brother, Jerry Fryberger, and many loving nieces and nephews. May his memory remain a source of comfort, love, and lasting gratitude to all who knew him.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Homer Fryberger; his mother, Ramona Fryberger; and his son, Brett Fryberger. He will be remembered with love and missed deeply by his family and friends.

A service honoring Terry's life will be 2:00 pm Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the South Main Street Church of God, 261 S. Main Street, Rittman, Ohio, 44270 with Rev. Jamie Fryberger officiating.
