Tammy L. Devaney

Tammy Lyn Devaney (54) passed away surrounded by loved ones during the morning hours of August 22, 2026.

She was born on April 17, 1972 to James and Arlena Gray in Akron, Ohio.

Tammy worked in the business office at Super Learning Center where she enjoyed coordinating special events, school functions, and many other responsibilities.

While at work Tammy, most of all, enjoyed spending time with all the students.

On December 7, 2000 she married Craig Devaney. They resided at their home for the past 26 years in Springfield Township, Ohio.

Tammy enjoyed reading, crafts and getting together with the family whenever possible. She especially enjoyed the family vacations at the beach.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband Craig Devaney, daughter, Karly (Tance) Kline with her first grandchild (Wren) on the way and she is due 12/25/26. Tammy’s Father, James Gray, her brother Greg (Sally) Gray. Nephews, Tyler and Andy Gray, niece, Libby (Tyler) Butterfield, and their great nephew Luca.

She was preceded in death by her mother Arlena Gray.

A memorial will be held on Wednesday September 2nd., from 11:00am-1:00pm with a service to follow at 1:00pm. at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron).  A procession to Hillside Memorial will follow the service.

Tammy has requested a casual service. For those who have their Faith over Fear (Team Tammy) T-shirts to please join her and wear them to the service. If you do not have one, please wear any cancer or faith-related T-shirt to the service.
