Susan Stair

Susan A. Stair, 84, passed away on July 24, 2026. She was born and raised a farm girl who loved to put the city kids in their place- no matter the consequences.

Susan was a true artist. She did the most amazing embroidery work and took beautiful pictures. She became a woodworker who designed, cutout, painted and finished all sorts of work with many pieces, making their way around the world. Many people have sought out her works.

Later in her life she became a "hard a** b****" and stayed that way. I just hope that some of that has rubbed off on me and will help get me through what's next.

She will be greatly missed by many friends as well as her cats, Weird, Daisy, Molly and Lucy the bird. And I promise Lucy will always have her Sunday seed tree.

Preceded in death by her parents Paul Hinkle, Edith Hinkle (Kraus), and Fred Kraus; her husband the love of her life Danny W. Stair; and her old man Harry Lukkes.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Joanna.

I will miss you forever.
