Susan Louise Phillips

Susan Louise Phillips, 77, of Akron, passed away on August 24, 2026 at Altercare of Hartville.

She was born on February 20, 1949 to Fred and Ellen Fraley in Akron, OH.

Susan worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 29 years with Akron General Medical Center. She also worked as a volunteer Paramedic for the Suffield Fire Department.

On June 24, 1967 , she married Lloyd E. Phillips. Susan and Lloyd lived in Suffield, Ohio for 49 years.

She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Susan was also a member of Springfield Fellowship Church. She loved doing crafts, gardening, camping with her husband, and spending time with her family.

Susan is survived by her loving Sons, Brian (Kelley Lovejoy) Phillips, Michael (Kristy) Phillips; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and long time friend, Ronald Kalgreen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Phillips; her parents, Fred and Ellen Josephine Fraley; and brother, Jim Fraley.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Suffield Fellowship Church 1669 Waterloo Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260 with a memorial service at 1:00pm.

There will be an inurnment to take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later time.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
