Sue E. Robinson

Sue E. Robinson, 83, passed away on August 2, 2025. She was born on January 11, 1942 the daughter of the late Ross and Alta Wiley. She was a woman of faith and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Sue was employed for several years at GoJo Industries. With a passion for crafting beautiful baby blankets, she touched the lives of countless friends and family members. Her generous spirit was matched only by her remarkable talent, as she transformed simple fabrics into cherished keepsakes that would be treasured for years to come. Sue had many accomplishments but her greatest was her love of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Deward Poling, and Harlen Robinson; and siblings Jim Wiley, and Kay DeSalem.

Sue is survived by her loving family, children Dawn Sheppard, Dannette McCarty, Darryl Poling, and Dewayne (Traey) Poling; grandchildren Jason, Robert, Cassandra, Juston, Tiffany-Sue, Joshua, Lauren, Cameron, and Makenzie; 10 great-grandchildren; special nephew David DeSalem; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm Saturday, August 9th at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 1:00pm with Pastor Bernard Christy.

Interment will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.
