Steven Michael Grose, affectionately known as “Weadro,” passed away on September 6, 2026, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was born on October 17, 1981, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.

Steven will be remembered as a man of deep kindness, remarkable humor, and a generous spirit that touched the lives of so many. He had a way of bringing joy to everyone who crossed his path, and he was known as someone who truly cared for others—someone who would give the shirt off his own back to help another person in need. That warmth, laughter, and selflessness will remain part of the memory he leaves behind.

He found pride and purpose in his work as a carpenter with Neff's Custom Cabinets, where he was skilled in building and installing custom cabinetry. Steven was extremely talented and loved what he did, and that love showed in the care and craftsmanship he brought to his work.

Outside of work, Steven enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life fun and familiar. He loved spending time playing his PlayStation, especially games like Fortnite, Forza, Fifa, Call of Duty, Rocket League, and Farming Simulator. He was also a devoted Pittsburg Steelers fan and enjoyed watching them play.

Steven leaves behind a family who will carry his memory forward with love. He is survived by his mother and father, Anna and James Baker; his daughter, Haley Grose, and Tyler Thomas; his brother, Robert and Andrea Tharp; his step-brothers, James Baker and Chase Crooks; his nieces and nephews, Tessa and Matt May, Leah Tharp, and Jacob Tharp; his uncles, Kenny Tharp, Terry Tharp, Randy Tharp, and Robert and Kim Baker; and his aunt, Melissa Baker. In the hearts of all who knew him as a son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, Steven’s presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nancy and Harold Tharp; his uncle and aunt, Alan and Peggy Tharp; his aunts, Judy Tharp and Lori Tharp; and his cousin, Amanda Wooten.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron, Ohio 44305.
