Steve A. West, 59, passed away on November 15, 2014 surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winford and Mary Lou West; brother, Leonard; and sister, Belinda.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sue; daughters, Tammy (Rick) Welser and Tiffany West; sister, Jewel (Stanley) Blondheim; brother, William (Linda) West; and granddogs, Sonny and Maggie.
Nothing made Steve happier than spending time with his family, whether it be family dinners, time on the lake, or watching a ball game. He loved his Cleveland teams, the Buckeyes, NASCAR, and playing golf any chance he had. Steve was a master machinist, having worked in his field for 41 years. There was nothing he couldn't fix. He especially loved tinkering with his Chevelle in his brand new garage.
Calling hours will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 12 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
