Stacil Lillian Goodman

Stacil Goodman, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2017 after a brief illness. Born on January 24, 1927 in Pink, West Virginia, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lillian Sutherland, and her husband of fifty two years, George Goodman.

Stacil is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Susan Goodman of Akron, and her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Russell Gregory of Wadsworth. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren that she loved dearly. Family was always important to Stacil and she was proud to attend the 50th Goodman family reunion on July 4, 2015.

Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305 with Don Wright officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 pm on Monday, February 6, 2017 or one hour before the service on Tuesday. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brown Street Church of Christ, 1835 Brown Street, Akron, OH 44301 or to your charity of choice.
