Shirley A. Ware

Shirley A. Ware, 81, of Barberton, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026. She was born in O'Okala (Big Island), HI on June 16, 1945 to the late Martin and Maxine {Mecate} Navor.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband Roy, sisters Norma Requelman and Loretta Seina.

Shirley is survived by her children Diana (Mario) Rivera, Roy Ware and Debra (Kristen Clark) Ware; grandchildren Roy Ware Jr. (Elizabeth), Caleb Ware, Evan Ware, Mario Rivera III, Jessica Schwab; great-grandchildren Aubrey and Jayce Schwab, and Lila Ware; brothers, Martin Navor Jr. and Rudolfo (Maile) Navor; sister Perla (Ed) Cardoza; many nieces and nephews.

Shirley loved taking family trips to Las Vegas and enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo with her friends and family. She enjoyed attending football, baseball and basketball games, as well as wrestling matches and dance recitals to support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the Gator volleyball games and trips to Walt Disney World. One of her favorite things to do was dance especially line dancing. Shirley was also a talented baker, and her banana nut bread, and fried rice was famous in her closest circle of friends.

Private services will be held for Shirley's family and friends. She will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd.
