Shirley L. Elliott

Shirley L. Elliott, 75, passed away on July 26, 2009. She was born on November 21, 1933 to the late Joseph and Catherine Arteno. Shirley enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home. She was a warm, outgoing person who made friends everywhere she went. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt Edith Wright. Survivors include her beloved husband Earl, of 60 years; daughter Vickie Lee (Richard) Berman; sons Earl, Jr. (Debbie) and Randy (Sandy); brothers Walter, Thomas (Norma), Gordon (Mona), and Bernard (Jodie) Arteno; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her dog Scooter. The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for their care and support during Shirley's illness. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 1742 Georgetown Rd. Suite J Hudson, OH 44236.
