Shirley May Dula

Shirley May Dula, age 87, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 25, 2024. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey on May 6, 1937 to the late Arthur and Margaret (Dassler) Taylor. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved the Lord and her church family. She enjoyed visiting with her neighbors in her building and never missed a good TV cop show.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Jeff Boden and son-in-law Gary Thompson. She is survived by her children James (Cheryl) Dula, Rose Thompson and Tom Dula; 4 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends including Jackie Kaylor.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday July 30th at 2 PM at Springfield Baptist Church, 1920 Krumroy Rd., Akron, OH 44312.
